The IHLH serves as an enabling hub for many already existent organizations and activities. We acknowledge the key leadership roles and accountabilities that each of the participating units will continue to provide for IHLH investigators, educators and clinicians. The IHLH does not seek to replace these existing centres and organizations, but rather to leverage previous investments and commitments to bring the quality of research, clinical care, and education in heart and lung sciences to new levels of excellence and impact.
